CodeMash conference
WOWCube® Entertainment System had on opportunity to take part in the CodeMash Conference.
Conference went very well, and the WOWCube® System was very well received. Our loyal fan Ben conducted two sold out sessions, and demoed the WOWCube in both.
About the Conference:
CodeMash is an annual software developers conference located in Sandusky, Ohio and has grown to be one of the largest of its kind in the midwest, typically seeing over 2000 participants over 4 days.
CodeMash is a unique event that educates developers on current practices, methodologies and technology trends in a variety of platforms and development languages. Held every January at the lush Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio, attendees will be able to attend a world-class technical conference amid Ohio’s largest indoor waterpark.
It’s not just about a grind of sessions, but also providing attendees the opportunity of continuing the conversations and networking outside of the daily conference events. The goal has always been to achieve this mission by creating a conference environment that focuses on professionalism and respect for one another.
Alongside CodeMash is a kids STEM conference called KidzMash and is open to the families of those who attend Codemash. It too has grown to be one of the largest of its kind in the midwest and regularly sees 800-1000 kids over 4 days. Kidzmash has its own area designated in the conference center, has its own staff, teachers, and sessions. Kids are taught anything from 3d printing and modeling, to soldering, household chemistry, marshmallow engineering, and rubik’s cubing. Attendees for KidzMash range in age from about 5 to 17, and have tracks categorized as a general session or deep dives for older kids.
Ben provided both a general session for roughly 65 kids, and a ticketed deep dive session for teens and adults about various aspects of rubik’s cube algorithms. In both sessions, he demonstrated the WOWCube® System. He also allowed students and adults to play with the Cube at the end of each session.
We are happy to share some participants' reactions about the WOWCube.
Ben: The WOWCube was very fun to play with! I really enjoyed the 3D aspect of the games and thought that it was a great way to teach new cubers how the cube functioned. Overall a great product!
Gabbi: “This is next level!”
Nathaniel: “It really is a ‘WOW’ Cube!”
Olivia: “This is so neat!”
Jason: “We’ll have to keep an eye out for when the WOWCube comes to market. It is really neat!”
We appreciate Ben's participation and thank him for being able to show off our product at the conference!
