Time flies when you play 2048 – a puzzle game based on simple addition. To win you need to combine the tiles with the same numbers and finally reach the sum of 2048. The game starts with two randomly placed tiles with the number 2. Place them near each other and twist the cube in the direction of the matching blocks. The joint piece will represent the sum of these tiles. Every merge brings you a new block of 2 or 4, which appears randomly placed on the empty slots. Continue merging tiles with the same numbers until you reach 2048. Merge the pieces wisely and try not to run out of the empty slots new tiles appear in. This game has an unusual history of development. Initially, 2048 was a single-player puzzle video game made by an Italian web developer Gabriele Cirulli and published on GitHub. Nineteen-year-old Gabriele created the game in a weekend with a single purpose – to see if he could develop a game from scratch. It was "conceptually similar" to the iOS game Threes.
